The president of our company assigned a process review of my operation to a guy without any experience doing such reviews. His team is made up of himself, a girl with no background either and no college degree and another guy who spends most of his time in the quad smoking cigarettes.
The president of our company promoted a young man to vice president of sales who has had no other job since college than this job with us. He got a degree in English and does not know the difference between a noun or a verb.
We launched a terrific new campaign for our products and we’re just told it was shit because the president didn’t understand it. He cancelled, postponed or didn’t attend 18 meetings in three months, when he did meet talked about his divorce, his crazy wife and his kids who are out of control. And, he keeps asking everyone to set him up with young women.
I’m told that the work I do is not good enough. I’m told that my efforts do not yield any success, yet I have numbers to support the success. I’m told that we don’t need a plan, we don’t need a strategy, and we don’t need to spend money marketing to new customers, only to our existing ones.
I’m either an idiot, or just mad.
