The Punishment shouldn’t be worse than the crime.

The Worried Worker (W2)

Wherever we work, something will go wrong.  And, we’ll have a difficult time with that.  That eventuality is made worse by the fact that all we want to do is find and hang on to happiness.  And, we know that something will go wrong – it has to.

What we want to make sure of [...]

Wrongly Accused!

The Worried Worker (W2)

Accusations of any kind can destroy people’s lives, marriages, friendships, businesses, employers and employees.  It often times doesn’t matter is the accusation is true or not – once it’s been thrown at you, it pretty much sticks.

A recent story is something to share.  It involves your internet access as work.

Take a look at some sample typos  in resumes, applications and cover letters provided by Max Messmer, author of Job Hunting for Dummies.

We’re not in a Recovery, but we may be out of Rehab!

The Worried Worker (W2)

Things won’t look better until there are jobs – until there are companies hiring people and paying them – until people start new businesses and get funding to do so – until people buy big appliances, and cars, and homes.  While the August unemployment claims looked good and the then improved, the news on the [...]

Take a Pay Cut?

Letter To W2

Dear W2:

Staggered and flexible schedules get better work out of employees if you can get everyone to learn that no one gets special treatment.  As budgets are getting cut it looks more and more promising to me that employers have all the cards.  With the number of people available out there, the competition is no [...]
