We all complain about our jobs and how much we hate going to work – Lord knows I do. But you know…recently work has actually been my salvation.
I’ve gone through some difficult situations at home lately, personal problems that seem to plague us all. On those days when I don’t want to face that reality, I’ve found that work has been the perfect outlet.
And, as I hear of very close friends tell their stories of walking out of their job for the last time, it feels even better.
When I’m at work I can focus on a part of my life that does not revolve around friends, a mortgage, or a significant other (that is unless you’re one of those let’s-work-together types). Work is a place I go to be productive, coach, execute and create. I know the rules, I’m a team player and I’m good at what I do – and I like that. I find that whatever funk I may have walked into work with, seems to get transformed into a drive that keeps me very focused, something my boss looovvveeesss.
So whether you’re married or single – kids or no kids – next time you just want to get away, try diving into your work and see what happens…you might just find you feel better at the end of the day.

Sometimes the pressures in our lives hit us everywhere. It’s good to read that some other people find their work the safe place to be. I do too.
How do we replicate you and your positive thinking??
