Madoff and SEC in deal on civil case?

The Worried Worker (W2)

(The Worried Worker apologizes for using the following language, but uses it nonetheless)

“The agreement reported by the press could “force” the disgraced money manager to pay a fine and return money to investors.”  This is what the commercial press reported to us recently.

This is the same smug motherfucker you saw on the news with that [...]

The danger of working while you’re exhausted

The Worried Worker (W2)

Are you a person who prides yourself in working even though you’re exhausted?

Are you insane?

If you think it’s some honor to work yourself to a bone, consider this: Working when you’re fatigued probably increases your blood pressure and risk of heart attack. A University of Alabama–Birmingham study found that fatigued workers have higher blood [...]

Napping at Work

The Worried Worker (W2)

Simply stated, none of us get enough sleep.

Recent reports indicate that interrupting sleep disrupts our ability to make memories and that napping can give us a boost of memory that helps us with our creative abilities and to see the big picture.  So, napping helps us when we’re awake.  Seems kind of obvious.

Bush Farewell – it’s been a few weeks now, hasn’t it?

The Worried Worker (W2)

How are you going to be remembered?

Probably for how hard it will be for all of us to actually forget you.

The Worried Worker feels bad for your daughters and wife, and the dog.  It’s got to be tough on them too.

There were a couple of good moments, though. The speech after 9-11 was [...]

Worrying Like a Dog?

The Worried Worker (W2)

Make sure your worry makes sense.

Worrying can be a productive way to stave off problems, but for many people, worrying about things can become more vexing than the original problem they were grappling with. Here’s an exercise recommended by Robert L. Leahy, director of The American Institute for Cognitive Therapy, which can help you understand [...]
