I just got an email from someone in the company by mistake.  It’s not very nice and it’s about me and I know she didn’t mean to send it to me but now she knows because the other people on the email told her.  I was hurt at first and wanted to quit, but then I thought that I should just get her fired instead.  What should I do?

Dear Return to Sender:

Bizpain revenge……not something I recommend.  I think you need to suck it up and move on.  You now know this individual is not a supporter of yours; therefore, keep your enemies close and don’t turn your back on her. 

Go about your business as if nothing has happened.  When you run into this person acknowledge them with a ‘business greeting’ and move on.  Right about now she’s got to be ‘crapping’ in her pants for the mistake…..a lesson well learned.  So, the best way to get her back is not to let her get away with it…..you need to rise above it all.

I know it sucks because we all want to be liked by everyone, but in life that’s just not going to happen.  Sorry you had to go through this, but it’s a lesson learned for you also.

So smile, move on with life and remember you’ve got more class then she does.
