Dear W2
I was getting a bunch of Linked In invitations and then started to get serious and began looking for opportunities. I’m not sure what I was thinking, but I sent an invitation to my boss. She accepted the invite before I realized that I had recruitment information on my profile that clearly indicated that I was looking for work. What do you suggest I do?
Dear Fired:
Keep looking for work because you blew it big time! This is emotional Bizpain and there isn’t a pill that you can take to make it go away. What is done is done……
If your boss happens to approach you on this; here’s how I’d reply: Boss, I’m very happy here but as you know with our current economy, gas prices, etc. I’ve got to ensure I’m positioned to weather the storm. In addition, I know that you would never want me to lose out on an opportunity to further my career. I appreciate you as my boss and mentor and should another opportunity come up, I’d first discuss it with you!
The above statement will need to be spoken with confidence and sincerity…..until you find anther job; stay focused and increase your work production so your boss begins to believe in you again! And, begin working on your resume now.

Bad news on this, dude. You gotta be careful with this stuff. i rrecently accepted an invite from a friend on Plaxo and after doing it saw my bosses assistant was somehow listed. i almost shit in my pants. better read teh classified tody
Linked In is just a resume on line and I can’t figure out how to get some of the people linked to me off my site! It looks to me that we’re all trying to get cooler people than ourselves and I don’t want people connected to me that can’t help me with my career.
Does anyone know how to get names off their profile?
Hey, maybe your boss is in the market for another job too….
